Asiana Airlines of South Korea has appointed Gandaki International Travels (P) Ltd their General Sales Agent (GSA) for Nepal effective from 1st May 2008. An agreement to this effect has been signed today in Kathmandu by Mr.Jung, Regional manager for Asiana Airlines and by Mr. Ram Kaji Koney, Managing Director from Gandaki International Travels (P) Ltd.

As a sister company of Kumho Asiana Group, Asiana Airlines is the second biggest South Korean carrier operating to 65 different destinations in 17 countries including USA and Europe, with cargo services in 24 cities. Asiana airlines has 65 fleet of aircrafts and it is accredited as a star alliance member. The airline is expected to operate scheduled flights from Kathmandu in the near future. Until such time the airline operates direct flight to Kathmandu , passengers can use their services via Delhi, Bangkok and Hongkong to different destinations.

Gandaki International Travels (P) Ltd is the sister company of Gandaki Tours and Travels. The company is the sole agent for Uzbekistan Airways also.
