At 2,009m Nagarkot offers delightful views of sunrise and sunsets in the layout of Kathmandu Valley below. On a clear day Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Gauri Shankar and Everest can be seen from here. The other city, Pokhara is located 200km west of Kathmandu, the enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley is a gateway to Nepal’s most famous trekking and rafting destinations. A place of remarkable natural beauty, the serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of Macchapucchre (6977m.) rising behind it create an ambience of peace and magic.  The other highlight of this trip: Chitwan, surrounding Royal Chitwan Park National Park in southern Nepal is perhaps the best park in Nepal for wilderness lovers. Towards the end of the trip visit Lumbini, the birth place of Shakyamuni Buddha. One of the main attractions of Lumbini is the Sacred Garden, which is spread over 8sq km, possessing all the treasures of the historic area. In the Maya Devi temple, a monument of Mayadevi, Lord Buddha’s mother giving birth to the lord can be found here. Standing west to the Mayadevi shrine is the oldest monument of Nepal, the Ashoka Pillar. Emperor Ashoka erected the pillar in 249 BC to commemorate his pilgrimage to the sacred site. To the south of the pillar, we find the sacred pond, {Puskarni} where Queen Mayadevi had taken a bath just before giving birth to Lord Buddha.
