    Mt. Kailash (6638m) located to the north of the Himalayan barrier in Western Tibet. The mountain is religiously sacred for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bons. According to the Hindu mythology, Mt. Kailash is believed to be the residing place for Lord Shiva (Mahadeva- the supreme god). And similarly according to the Buddhist mythology, it is believed to be home to Buddha Demchok. Special sessions of Pranayam (a type of yoga to help you acclimatize) will be arranged, and prayers or Bhajan – Kritan (prayer to gods) will be performed in the morning and evening.

    The famous temple of Muktinath lies in the district of Mustang and is situated on a high mountainside. During the festival of Janai Purnima, Hindu devotees gather at this spot to pay homage to Lord Muktinath. Dharamsala and Maharani Pouwa (resting places of pilgrims) provide lodgings for visitors and travellers. On the ground of the temple are three holes from which fames shoot forth continually. Since ancient times, these divine flames or Jwala have been worshipped as Jwaladevi (the Goddess of Flame).
